I have two 93 club cab 2wd duallies, one w/5sp, one with automatic, both with 3.55 gears. The 5sp has 305k, gets 18-23 on the highway while weighing 9k with a cab hi topper. The automatic has 175k, gets 17-18 on the highway empty. Keep fresh pins and bushings in the doors, rocker panel rust has been a problem, the KDP(killer dowel pin) affecting 89-98.5 Cummins 5.9"s can be fixed for the $36.00 cost of a front main seal from Cummins, a gouge punch, a little blue locktite, some Ultra Black silicone to seal the front cover up and about 3 hours of your time. Be sure to check the torque on all bolts under the front cover while you are in there. Turbodieselregister.com has all the details and several different approaches to fix the problem. Best one ton pickups that I have owned. The 4wd"s ride pretty rough unless fitted with air ride.
