Previous posters have expressed all the good ideas I've ever heard of for getting it OFF your hands, and the latex gloves will help keep it from getting there until you tear them. Several years ago, when I said something about this problem, my wife said "Try this stuff!" and handed me a tube of cream she'd gotten from her (shudder) AVON representative for when she worked at re-potting plants. She then explained that it wouldn't CLEAN my hands, it would KEEP them clean. I tried it, and it works quite well! It's called "Silicon Glove" and it rubs in like hand cream, with very little smell. If you apply it evenly, and rub it in around (and under) the nails, it will keep most of the grease and oil from ever getting to your skin. It needs to be re-applied whenever you wash your hands. I keep a tube of it in the shop, one at school, and one in the house. It's not hard to wash off your hands, keeps them from drying out, and makes clean-up very easy. I would not suggest wearing it to handle parts that you will be painting soon, as you'll leave some fingerprints that will come back to haunt you. This stuff works well, and made it possible for me to work with 9th graders in power-mechanics and metalworking classes all day and still have my hands clean and presentable when I ventured out into the rest of the building.

"Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this
