It is very simple to make money with the DOW. Just buy low and sell high. But the average guy on the street wants to get in when the market is high. If he is a large trader this is called greed. When the market goes down the same guy will sell. This is called fear. It take guts and discipline and control of your emotions to not let greed and fear dictate what you do. This is of course easy to say but if you can not discilpline your self you should stay out of the market.
