We use them in our company trucks, they are good for 180K or so. The only consistant issue we have is the fuel pumps - they only seem to last 50k-80k miles before needing to swap them out.
Fuel mileage isn't any better than the base line V8s usually in the 16-18 MPG range. The 2000 to 2003 ones seem to have a lot more power than the 2004+ models. I don't know if its reflected in their HP ratings but we definately noticed it.
