I just went thru that on a 2000 Buick LeSabre. On long trips after driving around 100-200 miles it would start shifting way too hard. You could shut it off and let it cool down and it would shift fine for awhile.
For $340 a local tranny man replaced the pressure control solenoid.I took a 1200 mile trip right after that and its worked great ever since then.
