I have a three-dog admiration society every time I sit down with a snack. They all wait their turn, although my English setter drools a bit in anticipation. I had my Lab put down about five years ago, and I still miss her and recall all the good times we had. After dumping a canoe the first time, which was my fault, she was a flawless first mate. She just had an exhuberance for life and fun. Someday I'll have another Lab.
