Not everyone has all the manuals. A lot of the time they can ask on here and get the info they need. Then they can have their equipment fixed and working again in a lot less time than it would take to wait for the manual. No matter how good a manual is, it won't cover everything and there is nothing better than having someone who's had the same problem explain how to fix it. OEM manuals are usually the best.
