I like the JD 730D, The 3010,4010,3020, and 4020 tractors. They are the tractors JD used to hammer IHC into permenant 2nd best. IHC had to design an extra 5hp into their tractors over the Deeres just to get anyone to buy them. No one can say that a 560 can out work a 730 in the field. With the others, it was the human engineering features which make a JD easier amd more comfortable to use which make them better. That is why today good late 4020s bring $14,500 and 1066s go for under $10,000. Also, consider durability. The first thing anyone wants to know about an IHC is...does the TA work? There is nothing about the JD design that causes that kind of question. With the convenient operating features, solid reputation for quality, reliability, excellent company support (Deere usually took care of the few problems they encountered at their own expense) that is why their tractors are better. IMHO of course.
