Although I have stayed out this up until now I do have a comment to make on the subject.#1 is why the big debates?"My Deere will outpull your IH!","Youre Deere is junk!"What does it matter?All the puting down of each others tractors is pointless.SO my IH wont pull some big plow or my Deere uses more fuel than my IH.I dont care.They do the jobs I need them to do!#2 is before 55 what alot of farmers,at least in my area,bought depended on what was available at the time.Form 1935- 1986 there was only one tractor dealer in the area,a John Deere dealer.Most farmers didnt have time to drive a couple of hundred miles to look at an AC,IH or Oliver.Most of the old farmers around here have JDs because thats all they know about,they hadnt had the chance to feel the raw power of a Farmall Super M,they just know the Deeres and swear by them.Some of the farmers have gone out and bought a new tractor from the new Case/IH dealer up town,others have bought a new imported POS,but now they have a choice.My $.02~!

Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics.
