If I did put the nose of the tractor in a low place and pulled the pto shaft, won't the oil in the rear end mix with the oil in the hydraulics? I just changed both oils and the rear end oil smelled like toxic waste and it only had a quart of oil in it..my guess is that the pto seal is the reason rear end was low..I don't think I would want the rear end oil to mix with the hydraulic oil. Thanks for telling me how much fun I have to look forward to.
