I think there is a bunch of mafia like crooks that make money off of stuff like catalytic converters and other things used on a gas engine thats not needed on a diesel engine and they keep suppressing diesel engines.Most people nowdays dont remember the 1980s Chevrolet diesels which ran fine if you kept them maintained.The big thing about them was they had them to where they didnt put out enough power to get the work done.Parts were expensive and you had a hard time finding somebody who could work on them.Now the diesels put out more power but they still cost too much and parts are high and you still cant find good mechanics.Most of that is because they made them to where you about have to take them back to the dealer to get them fixed.If they would just make a diesel engine the right size,keep all the epa crap off of it,keep all the computer crap off of it,make it where it is simple to work on and troubleshoot,they probably could not make them fast enough to put in cars and trucks.With all the crooks involved in cars and oil companys and everything else,they are not going to make anything better,only worse and more expensive and harder to fix until all thats left is a big junk yard of stuff that nobody can fix that burns gas if you can afford to buy any.
