Anything's possible but if it does happen it won't be for long. Two things will happen: People will use less, which will bring the price down again, and maybe finally some of the bird watchers who can't drive to the anti-government rallies will relent and let a few more refineries get built.

Hope they pack a lunch for their kids on their way to the mideast now that Alaska is being made off limits for any more drilling.
