First off. I kind of agree with both sides of the argument. Us vs the "State". I always had seat belts installed in my cars going back to the early 60s. It made good sense to me to save my A__ in a wreck. I was involved in a real nasty wreck in the mid 1960s. Brother was driving I was in the back seat with no seat belt availabe. We went off the edge of the road at high speed and flipped eight times for a distance of 280 feet down the middle of Hwy 41 in Florida. My brother and a buddy where not injured. They had on seat belts. I put out all of the rear windows with my head and legs. The last flip put me out the now open rear door. Suffered a deep gash on my leg and almost lost my left ear. I was attached to that ear and didn't want to loose it. Ha. A seat belt would have saved me a lot of pain and loss of work. Point. Law or no law I will take the seat belt every time. It makes good sense.
