My great grandfather always had a good outlook on things. He said farming with the horses was alot of hard work but they didnt know any different. He always said he was lucky because when he was old enough to help with the farming alot of the implements had seats on them but his dad had to walk in this horrible sticky dirt behind the horses and that made riding a sulky plow or a cultivator seem like a joy. They farmed as much with horses as some guys around here do with 12 row planters today, and they ran a herd of brown swiss dairy cows. Its all perspective. bill
