If you've got cell reception in your house, look into getting a broadband card through your cell provider. IN my case it's Verizon Wireless, and I've been very happy with the results. I've had it for almost 2 months now, and my only other options were satelite or dial up. For what the costs were, and after our dish installer reccomended to find any other way than satelite internet, we went with wireless broadband.
We had road runner high speed internet where we used to live, and I really can't notice much difference between the 2. Very happy with Verizon.
I know in the past driving through this area Verizon had a pretty bad blackout area, but they ust have put up some more towers since then.
