Last week or so of the month when everyone's rations were used up, we'd put a garbage bag and a bag of ice and a couple gallons of kool aid in a garbage can and do a police call through all the barracks to gather up everything with an alcohol content. Dump it in, cut up some citrus and pineapple, dump in some non rationed Korean rotgut, and dip it out with dixie cups. Called it hairy buffalo back home with everything people could steal from mom & dad and some cheep clear stuff and hawain punch.
