Many years ago (1979), I bought a NEW Chevy Blazer on a cash deal. They were to do some custom paint striping and have it done for pickup a certain day.
The dealer had REALLY ugly advertising stickers they would stick on both front fenders and I made them put it in writing on the sales contract that there would be NO stickers on the Blazer.
I showed up on the appointed day and was going to hand over the check, then decided to do to the body shop and have a peek at it.
They HAD gone ahead and stuck dealer stickers on the fenders.
I tore up the check in front of the salesman and walked out. The next day they DELIVERED the new Blazer (60 miles) WITHOUT the stickers.
