Ossie, The firing order for a Model VG4D is 1342. The wires on the magneto would be the same for Wico or Fairbanks-Morse mags. Number 1 will be marked. If it is not ,number 1 will be the top post on the right. Number 2 will be the other top post. Number 4 will be under number 2 and number 3 under number 1. The mag will turn to the right. Hope this helps. Info taken from manual for a VG4D.
