Actually, a WD-45 is about the easiest tractor around to get off & on-unless a mounted plow is hanging. Right foot on drawbar, left on big rear step and fall into seat as right foot goes to right foot-step. We've had a 45 for about 50 years and a D-17 for many years. The 17 is a pain to get on & off if you have big feet. Can't spin your left foot around to sit because of the fender brace. When carrying big round bales with the 45, I put a step on left side below battery box and mounted from left front. Either that or squeeze between bale of hay and the tire.
