James' ex's attorney demanded a copy of our tax return and we were audited immediately. The auditor was not friendly. My 1965 Mustang convertible had been stolen and we had claimed a loss on it. The auditor spent almost an hour looking for a way to deny the loss. Luckily I had lots of pictures and documentation. She finally with great reluctance allowed the loss. It was obvious she did not want to allow it, but couldn't find any basis to deny it.

Since then we've had our taxes done by H&R Block and haven't been audited again.
