A friend brought me her car, said it had started using a lot more gas. Computer gave a code 62, referencing transaxle gearswitch circuit. I found a square, 4-prong wire unplugged on the front of the transmission. Hooked it up, took it for a drive, worked well the first few miles. Slowing down to pull in at home, car is shuddering, engine pulling down, feels like torque converter is not unlocking. Computer is giving no new codes. Am I correct in thinking that it's a torque converter problem? Or is there any chance it's still an electrical issue? This car isn't worth putting a transmission in, and she doesn't have the money for that anyway.
