Thanks for all of your ideas. The bridge is actually a concrete structure - all below the road bed. The rails are just angle iron to identify the edge. The road is dirt with NO traffic except us and another 80 acres. Also people who are lost or hunters. County closed the road years ago 1000 feet beyond the bridge so the other farmer can get to his field. In fact the road is a dirt or mud road. The bridge is actually covered with dirt. Maybe I could just move more dirt onto the road so I could clear the rails. Making one rail fold down might work too. The John Deere is end transport. The Kinze is not. Deere is $3000, Kinze is $5000. Deere has no attachments except dry fertilizer. Nice Yetter end transport. Markers fold and sort of bent some. No trash movers and No coulters. Sort of a conventional till planter. I will be doing all no till. An old girl, but taken care of. The Kinze does have trash whippers, extensions on all boxes, drives with the rubber wheels contacting the lift wheels, dry fertilizer with extensions, Orthman (sp??) fertilizer openers, end drive for seed and fertilizer, good paint, nice folding markers. Precision corn meters. No end transport. Is the Kinze worth the $2000 extra?????
