I dont use their engine oils. Not really sure about it. I've tried Shell Rotella, Chevron, Exxon, Quaker State, and now Conoco. I haven't been using the Conoco long enough to know if I like it or not. As to engines on tear down, I liked Quaker State HDX the best. 3600 hrs and the engine was spotless. The Shell was the worst, less than 300 hours and their were laready deposits where they shouldnt have been.
I considered using TSC hydraulic fluid but the last time they had it on sale I gave my petroleum jobber a shot at it. He beat them by 50 cents a pail for Marathon and then took another 2.00 a pail off for a full pallet. In all honesty, I would have paid that much more just to buy local but I'll take the discounts if he's giving them.
