Yes,excessive hyd.pressure will crack the center section of the hyd.pump Is The relief valve seat loose or striped in housing? Correct spring? The large hex cap on outside of housing should turn in freely until you have 7/32 to 1/4 inch between the hex cap and housing.This should close to correct.This is for Oliver 88 relief valve on lower center housing towards operator.
