The staggered shock deal( one in front ,one behind ) does a good job on leaf spring rear suspension to prevent spring windup and wheel hop under hard acceleration or braking. You see it a lot on pickups and 60-early 70 Ford and other cars with the high performance setup. works better than it looks.
