I don't know about the drive for you but once you get there get a map of the routes around town. Red, green, blue and yellow routes. They will keep you out of a lot of standstill traffic on 76 highway. Just use 76 when you have to and the alt routes the rest of the time. Works great. Rooms are of all types there. There's a nice holiday inn express right behind the grand palace. I think it is on the yellow route so you don't have to get on the main road to get in and out of it.
