I don't think you can do anything to get it evenly distributed. Both of my mowers, a single spindle 6' and a 2 spindle 8' just have chain guards but tend to leave the majority of the cut grass in one area. The 6' leaves it on the LH side, the 8' right down the middle. I think it is just a characteristic of the rotary design.
