We had nearly the samething going on aourond our place, somebody was stealing gas from our farm tank. We don"t run that many machines old enough to be gassers anymore, so we just ran the tank as empty as we could then filled it with water. Two days later, there was an abandoned car 1/4 mile up the road. When I drove past on my way to work, i stopped to check the gas tank, and sure enough, it was full of water! Wrote down the license number and called the sheriff.
