2010 diesel is a bigger engine that the rest of the entire 1010/2010 series, except 1010 diesel and 2010 gas are exactly the same sizes.
1010 and 2010 use many identical parts and all have the same bolt-patterns. But . . .
1010 gas is 115 cubic inches 3.5" X 3" 1010 diesel is 144 cubic inches 3.62" X 3.5" 2010 gas is 144 cubic inches 3.62" X 3.5" 2010 diesel is 165 cubic inches 3.87" X 3.5"
Even if you found a 144 gas engine to rob all the parts to swap, why bother?
Just find a complete gas engine from a 2010 or a Deere combine engine or power unit and it will bolt right in. I've see many good combine engines sell for $200 -$400. They are commonly used to replace engines in 1010s and 2010s.
