Yes. A disc works best in the fall and even then it needs to be dry, dry, dry. I have to use my disc in the spring also because my plow leaves so many corn stalks sticking out that I can't get them threw the digger with out discing first. As a matter of fact I covered about 70 acres today here in So. central Mn. Worked real good until I lost one of the scrapers. Lucky I had an extra in the parts bin but that was my last spare. It is an old case disc so I don't know if I can order more or not. Will check tomorrow.
