I have a Kinze planter with the starter fertilizer augers that look like springs. My Kinze dealer said that they were no longer available as Kinze had changed to a auger that is a casting more like John Deere has used. The dealer also said that the spring augers were actually like those used on an Allis Chalmers planter. He even went on to say that they were bought from Allis Chamlers. I would rather continue using the spring type as I would probably have to change all the hoppers to keep the rate the same. An eight row planter with 4 of the boxes would cost alot to change. Does any one have some of the augers or do you know if Agco still sells the augers that look like springs????? Thank you.
