In Toronto Ontario area tractor gas (87octane) is 78.9 to 81.9 cents per litre. 94 octane is 12cents per liter more. Real cost? Paying for fuel with net income after 54% income tax. Then gst, pst,& federal/provincial taxes. Scared lemmings/sheep lining up at dealerships to trade. Many spending $5,000 to $15,000 to trade for an new economy putt putt car that will save $500.00 a year in fuel costs. I'll keep the suv for my family's well being. My sister is a paramedic & hauls people & parts to the hospital after collisions. The passengers of large vehicles walk away & the wee wee car passengers get carried away. When all vehicle costs are totaled; after tax, depreciation, interest, liscense, insurance & normal maintenance the cost of fuel per year is a minor issue.
