On both the 9N and 2N the tool box is in exactly the same place and fastened to the side of the plate the battery sets on and it is the left side and the lid is hard to open in there. I have a 44 2N that Dad bought new in may of 44 and it has always been in that spot and I have a 41 9N and it is exactly the same as the 2N.
