Doug is correct in his statement about fuel being the number one problem. If you cut the pin off of the solenoid the carburetor will not be able to be adjusted right. Did you remove the carburetor and disassemble it??? If you just blew through it, that is not good enough with this new gas. It leaves a sticky film on the surface of things. You have to use carb cleaner and a brush. I had a push mower drive me nuts until I removed the needle valve and wiped it with a rag. I usually just sprayed the whole dissembles carb, parts and all, let it set a while and blow off. I found out that this new fuel will not come all off just by spraying and blowing off with air. I now use an old tooth brush and scrub everything I can. This seems to work much better. Also change your spark plug. I have seen a plug do funny things when hot on small motors.
