dually truck need or ego?

i know its childish asking this question. but i want to do this right. i've never had any truck but junk (i like junk). now that i'm into tractors, i would like to have a nicer(more dependable) truck. to go over a couple of states west of here to pick up tractors. i would like for the wife and two kids to go with me(only chance of a vacation my wife will get). i can find F350, four door, diesels around here cheaper that i can find f250 four door diesels. those of you that have duallies, are they a pain to drive? is the length and width going to cause problems. i live in rural southern virginia(narrow roads). Sorry for the off subject, but i would trust you fellows with brain surgery
