Very good point. At the engine plant for the Vette everyone comes out with Mobil 1 and has for several years. You can have your choice on a new Detroit Diesel engine to have Delvac Mobil oil or synthetic oil. These guys are getting fizzed up over nothing on this one. Years ago the courts ruled Caterpillar nor any other manufacurer doing business in America could not refuse to honor a warranty because you did'nt use their brand of filters on the Cat engines. The court went on to rule that no manufacturer could dictate what brand or type oil and filters you use as long as they are certified to be used in the normal applications for that engine.
