I have always judged a job by the quality of plunder I could haul home. Best part of my job at the chicken factory was the take homes. The chickenbine we had used about 10' of #80 roller chain to turn the cage platforms around. They would break on the ends after about a month of getting hit with a forktruck. Took too long to put in master links, they were tossed. I have two 605C round balers, they will both be scraped long before I ever need to buy any chains for them.
Also the chikenbine had 6 conveyor belts on it. Boss man said there was not way to fix one when it stretched out so they were cut off and replaced. No way to count the uses I found for them, most economical is the disk mower I bought with out a curtain 6 years ago. Belt is still doing a good job on it.
Now at the water factory I come up with something good every now and then but for the most part all I get are clear 5 gallon jugs and 55 gallon plastic barrels. With the barrels I have hauled home I should not ever have to buy a feed trough ever again.
