We have an Ideal galvanized metal water tank, & have had for about 10 years. The past 2 or 3 years I`ve had to fix pin-holes. I`m not sure what the life-span of these are suppose to be, but I believe this 1 has done us a good job. Now what I am kind of wondering about is these black rubber type cattle tanks? I`m in So./central Il., so we do have some cold times during winter. I use an in-water(on the bottom) electric heating element type water heater. Any input metal vs. rubber is greatly appreciated!
