we are working on the water pump of one my students outboards. while changing the water pump after reinstalling everything it would not shift out of forward so we took the lower unit off to move the shifter to correct this problem but can get the shift linkage to move in any direction. so my question is how do i get it unstuck from forward gear. can anyone help me out on this thanks
