Carb ice, although possible, is rare on tractors...more common on aircraft. Air rushing through the carb is accelerated and compressed and can super cool as it passes thru the venturi. Add a little moisture and you get ice. The ice builds up and restricts flow...loss of power. My Super M will occasionally get condensation or a little frost on the carb, but, I've never had her lose power over it. Make sure there is plenty of nice clean oil in the bath air cleaner.
My power loss was caused by restricted gas flow from a little rust in the tank.
