My family ,on Memorial day each year remembers my Mom's Brother,John Thomas Earl Malone,a survivor of the Omaha Beach Landing in June 1944 only to die somewhere in France on Nov.23,1944. He is buried in a Military Cemetary in France.A lot of my Family including myself, USMC, July 1955-July 1963, have served in the military and participated in all wars including the War of 1812 and Civil War,but he is the only one who ever died while in service.We must remember the sacrifice they gave.
