Take the coins to a coin dealer and see what he will give you for them. Then take that and double that amount and that is what it is worth. You see, they have to make a profit and they usually like to double what they have invested. For the jewelry if it is really old then it might have an antique value. If it is everyday stuff and it is gold then it might not be worth more then scrap and same for silver.
Is there anyone interested in the coins and jewelry in the family that would like to buy then and then you could just split that money up that way??? I would hate to see that someone might want some of those things and instead of selling them to someone else you could still keep them in the family.
