Hello 550Doug, If the unit/s are that old they may have R12 in them, it is cheaper to by gold. Anyhow, take some time and check the units when they are working. The condenser should feel pretty warm to the touch. Don't touch the copper coil close to the compressor, there it will be HOT! Good air flow is the only way they will pick up humidity. If the fan is not working, or slow it may be the problem. Thake a good look at both coils and clean them, a little wire brush will work fine. It also will straigthen the fins on the condenser coil out. Guido.
