The John Deere 4000 was meant to be sold to a person with 3020 implements. He could pull them a gear faster and therefore get more done. I have some of the old literature that states this sales tactic. What happened was guys bought them as cheep 4020 and tore them up. IH did the same thing only it was a 826. As for how rare???? 4000 factory LP power shift would be rare. It would depend if it was a factory LP.
