4000 didn't have syncronizers on reverse gears but 4020 did along with larger axles. 4000 had no sheet metal covering rockshaft and no enclosed battery boxes.
In all my years working at a JD dealership I never saw a 4000 powershift let alone a gasoline or LPG fueled one!!!!!!!!!!!!
