You surely need to fill us in on what you need the tractor for. Most needs will be met by a two cylinder John Deere, however, if you need a tractor you are going to be on all day every day, then a 4 cylinder tractor would be a lot smoother. I have a 1937 John Deere Model B. I highly recommend this tractor because it is very simple, has no battery, generator, alternator, starter, fuel pump, or water pump! Newer tractors have all of that stuff- yet you dont really need any of it. The John Deere is extremely reliable and parts are readily available. This is the first tractor you can get a 3 point hitch for- and i have one for mine. Good luck! J.D.
