Dean, How long had you used that K&N filter? I've had one on my pickup for two years now. I've cleaned it once and it looks just as good as the day I bought it. The K&N people seem to have a really good warrentte, I wonder if you could have sent it in. I know my truck runs alot better with the K&N filter in, and I get 1-2mpg better which is important to me since I commute 400 miles a week on gas ranging from $1.60 to $1.80 lately.
