BtWay ,, He and DAD enlisted early in 1942 , Dad went mechanized infantry ..Uncle served in WW2 in the CBs , Because of his heavy German accent , the ARMY higher ups Suggested he TEST to be a spy or work in the CB's for fear other soldiers would prejudice his German Accent , ..My German family roots in AMERICA go back to 1819, But Ferdinand INd is predominantly German even today ,, ...
