I was standing in a friend's driveway and watched the following : a fellow was driving an old grain truck with a 2-speed rear end over to a part - time mechanic's house to get the brakes fixed. Along the way, he apparently lost all brakes. Well, as luck would have it, he got it slowed down enough to turn the corner onto the gravel road. Only 3/4 mile of gravel with one short but steep hill in the middle. Well, half - way up the hill the engine starts to lug, and for whatever reason, he decides to split the rear-end. You guessed it, it scrambled and back down the hill he came, until he ran off in the ditch and rolled the truck over. Nothing but cuts,bruises and soiled shorts, he was lucky.
