I found another tank I bought at an auction that looked very clean inside--bright metal. Pulled the fuel pick-up and that was clean. Switched a fitting for the fuel hose, filled it with fresh gas, and fired up my motor in a trash can filled with water. Ran great. I need to pick up a paddle anyway, just to be safe.
